XY Scatter graphs allow you to graph one or more series of data that are dependent on an independent set of data.

<b>Spreadsheet data format</b>
<ul>
<li>XY Scatter graphs require at least one row or column of data which is considered the independent data set in addition to one or more series of dependent data.<br>
<li>The number of data cells used is only limited by available memory.
</ul>
<b>XY Scatter graph properties</b><br>
The following outlines the properties that are available for XY Scatter graphs.
<ul>
<li><b>Series</b><br>
Groups the values displayed by rows or columns.<br>
For example, if you have a 7-row by 3-column data set, this may be graphed with series as columns, in which case two series of data will be graphed: The X values will be represented by the first column, the Y values will be represented the second and third columns of data.<br>
In addition, if this data set is graphed with series as rows, six series of data will be graphed, with X values represented by the first row, and the Y values represented by the remaining 6 rows.<br>
<li><b>Title</b><br>
Specifies the XY Scatter graph main title.
<li><b>Category (X) axis label</b><br>
Specifies the text label applied to the x-axis.
<li><b>Value (Y) axis label</b><br>
Specifies the text label applied to the y-axis.
<li><b>Show border</b><br>
Controls display of a border enclosing the graph image.
<li><b>Show legend</b><br>
Controls display of the legend in the upper right corner of the graph.
<li><b>Connect points</b><br>
If selected, AutoGraph will connect the points in each series in the order in which the data points are present in the data set.
<li><b>Auto-ranging</b><br>
Auto-ranging causes AutoGraph to determine the best fit data range to display.<br>
For example, if your data values range from 0.5 to 0.75, AutoGraph will attempt to display only that range of values.
<li><b>Use specified range</b><br>
This option will allow you to zoom in or out by specifying the range of values to be displayed in the <b>X min</b>, <b>X max</b>, <b>Y min</b>, and <b>Y max</b> data fields.
<li><b>Show markers</b><br>
You have the option of not displaying the data markers. However, if <b>Connect points</b> is not selected and markers are not shown, AutoGraph will display nothing in the graph.<br>
You may also select from three different sizes of data markers, 5x5, 7x7, and 9x9.
<li><b>Gridlines</b><br>
Controls display of the x and y-axis gridlines.
<li><b>Always show origin</b><br>
When <b>Auto-ranging</b> is selected, you may force AutoGraph to display the origin on either or both X and Y axes.<br>
If this is not selected, AutoGraph will display only the range of data present in your data set.
